The invite cards are ready! Hooray!

Darren and I want to minimise our impact on the environment, so we opted for cards printed on recycled paper.

The card is also kinda tiny. Quarter A4 size.
Use less paper lor!

Any print overruns (if we end up having more cards that we can send out), will be used as decorations on our wedding day, so nothing goes to waste.

We want to thank Erika (Jo Ho's daughter) who illustrated us in her distinct style (check her out at deviantart.com - her alter ego is TotenVeloren).

The printer said my initial card design was a tad too ambitious (I wanted the card to function as a DIY angpow as well). It would take too long and cost a lot more to create a mould for the perforations and stuff. So we scrapped that idea and simplified it. A big thank you to my gym and lunch buddy Karen Wong, for redoing the layout (and the map to the church!).

Also our heart felt thanks to David & Eva Ng, and uncle Hock Swee, for coming all the way to our place to show us the print samples and deliver the cards.

Initially, I wanted dark chocolate brown envelopes to go with the cards, but there were none to be found. There is a lovely site from UK that sells envelopes in a rainbow assortment of colours, but they were wayyyy to expensive. After calling up almost every single envelope supplier in town, I found the next best thing, light apple green envelopes from Sunflower at Ikano.

With only 6 weeks left to spare, we're finally sending out our invites *sweat*
